Milan, June 10th, third stage of the Torch Relay route of the 30th Summer Universiade Napoli 2019. The relay will be preceded by the press conference “Waiting for the Universiade, between sport and entertainment”, scheduled at 1.30 pm, at “Spazio Campania” in Piazza Fontana.
In the presence of the local institutions,President of the Regione Campania Vincenzo De Luca and Extraordinary Commissioner for the Universiade Gianluca Basile will illustrate the sporting event scheduled in Naples and Campania from 3rd to 14th July. In addition, guests and sets of the Opening Ceremony on July 3rd at San Paolo Stadium and the Closing Ceremony on July 14th will be announced by creative director Marco Balich and director Lida Castelli.
At 3 pm, the third stage of the Torch relay will start from “Spazio Campania” in Piazza Fontana, reaching Piazza Largo Gemelli, where the Torch will enter Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.
A 3.1 km path run in 35 minutes. The Torch will be delivered into the hands of 15 torch-bearers:
Roberta Guainieri, (Municipal Councilor for Tourism, Sport and Quality of Life) will support Giacomo Riva, a disabled athlete; Alessandro Castelli (President of CUS Milan); Mattia Bronconi, (taekwondo champion); Francesco Calvetti (Politecnico di Milano Sports Manager); Patrizio Oliva (Olympic boxing champion); Demetrio Albertini (former football player, European and World silver medalist); Giulia Bernardo, (Bocconi student); Antonio Rossi (Undersecretary for Major Sporting Events); Linus (DJ); Pierpaolo Rattini (Olympic rowing champion); Silvana Stanco (shooting Champion); Federico Florin (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore student).
