The last ones to leave Naples tomorrow evening will be the athletes and delegates from Costa Rica, Chile, Philippines, and some from Mexico. Today, about 2700 people will leave to their respective Countries of origin, while 1500 guests left on Sunday. Wednesday, July 17th, will also be the last day of activity for the 7 Athletes’ Villages and for the transport services dedicated to the participants of the 30th Summer Universiade. Many guests (more than a thousand), especially Americans and Canadians, will continue their stay in Naples as tourists. “Many North Americans – says Francis Cirianni, Head of Delegation Services for Napoli2019 – lived this Summer Universiade as it was the end of the College year, with parents joining their sons in order to spend their holidays together”. Many Germans will also stop in Lago di Garda (Garda lake) and other Italian cities on their way back to their Country. Moreover, several Hungarians and Slovenians, who have reached Naples by car, will stop in Naples for many days. The same can be said for the people coming from all over Italy in order to work in the organisation of Napoli2019 or to give their contribution as volunteers. “Besides the smaller delegations – adds Cirianni – several delegation members of all Countries, from Russia to Canada, from Japan to China, from United States to Taiwan, will continue their stay in Naples and Italy as tourists”.
