The Universiade 2019 games are fast approaching.
On Saturday, when there will be fewer than 200 days before the kick-off, the Naples central train station will have a stand with demonstrations of some of the sports that will be included.
The event was organized in collaboration with the regional Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI). Taking part will be actors from the “Un Posto al Sole” television series (Francesco Vitiello, Raffaele Imparato and Amato D’Auria) and many athletes and former athletes from the Campania region including Mauro Sarmiento (with two Olympic medals in Taekwondo), Christian Parlati (world champion in the junior class of Judo), and Mariafelicia Carraturo, the new world record holder for underwater diving without any breathing apparatus. The opening will be at 10 AM and the first to perform will be the Taekwondo (Sarmiento) and judo (Parlati) athletes, followed by the arrival of other guests at 11:15 AM.
At 12 it will be Carraturo’s turn and at 2:30 PM there will be gymnastics and track and field (Giuseppe Filpi for obstacle course races, Simone Di Cerbo for pole vaulting, and Alessandro Marasco for long distance running – all are under age 20).
At 3:30 PM there will be male and female rugby and at 4:30 table tennis. The events will end at 6 PM.
