Yesterday, during the CSU visit to the Universiade Organising Committee, the FISU delegates have supervised the sport venues and the accommodations that will host the event in July.
In the afternoon they went to Salerno, where the Sport Assessor, Angelo Caramanno, and the town executives have introduced the delegates to the Arechi, the stadium of the Universiade football final and probably of the closing ceremony: the maintenance work will start within 15 days. The main front of the venue, the dressing rooms and the toilets will be restored just like the lighting system, while the installed seats will be 37.500. Even the installation of the board will be provided by the Organising Committee, that will make available some interiors to the athletes.
In Salerno the delegates have also visited the Fisciano Campus accommodations, where the athletes village will be set up.
The Campus will host 1564 athletes. It will have three accommodation sites with a specific area for any doping controls.
The Commissioners have visited the rooms and the mess hall: every room has bathroom, kitchenette and Wi-Fi while the mess hall will be open from the 7 am to the 12pm (breakfast, lunch and dinner). When the athletes will arrive to the Fisciano Campus they will receive a badge that, with a biometrical security system, will be useful to monitoring the moves.
