750 is the total number of the international journalists, photographers and TV reporters accredited to the 30th Summer Universiade Napoli 2019. They will come from 53 countries (in particular, 500 are Italian). The most significant representation is the Chinese one with journalists from Xinhua News Agency, which is one of the the largest and oldest offical press agencies in People’s Republic of China. 32 are the journalists and photographers expected from Japan and 13 from Taipei, where the previous Summer Universiade edition took place in 2017. 12 are the representatives accredited by the Russian Federation and 12 from Argentina. From Thailand, among the 7 accredited reporters there is also a journalist from the National Tourism Agency. Media will broadcast worldwide both the sporting event and the image of the host region.
Most accreditations concern journalists, who are about 260; photographers are approximately 100 and over 120 are the TV reporters. The event will be attended by Italian and foreign radio stations. Some curiosities concern media representatives’ gender and age: Men are more numerous than women (around 160); the oldest is an Australian journalist (76) while the youngest is an Italian photographer (18).
