Black and white, with the Napoli 2019 logo on the stern and on the side: One Universiade-branded boat is going to compete during the Rolex Capri Sailing Week, starting today at 12am until May 18th from Circolo del Remo and Vela Italia. The event is also known as Regata dei Tre Golfi, that is the 65th edition of the international event that opens the sailing season in the Mediterranean.
The initiative was born from the partnership between the Universiade and the Italian Sailing Federation (FIV). The boat owner is Carlo Varelli. The crew on board the Mylius 14.55 will wear gray jackets, t-shirts and shorts with the Universiade and FIV logos. The Universiade competitions, scheduled from July 8th to 12th, will be hosted by Circolo del Remo and Vela Italia too. “The presence of a boat with the Universiade logo in such an important competition as Regata dei Tre Golfi proves the spirit of great collaboration between the Universiade and the national federations, that is a key to the success of the event,” explains the extraordinary commissioner Gianluca Basile.
