3,500 admissions have already been sold online, less than 24 hours from the ticket sale opening. The public has shown great interest in the competitions of the 18 sports disciplines registered in the 30th Summer Universiade Napoli 2019. The last time Italy hosted a summer edition of the Games was 22 years ago, precisely in Sicily in 1997. The uniqueness of the event (involving 8,000 university athletes from 127 countries) and the affordable prices (for competitions, finals and opening ceremony) were decisive to encourage purchases.
Tickets are available at the points of sale of the Vivaticket national network, via the official website of the event www.universiade2019napoli.it, or at the ticket office one hour before the competitions by presenting the payment receipt or the transaction code number with a valid ID.
For many events it is possible to choose the desired seat and for some disciplines it is possible to purchase season tickets. Price ticket for qualifications is 3.00€, while admission is free for children under 18, adults over 65, sports delegations, university students, sports and military associations. Full price ticket for finals is 5.00€; reduced price ticket is 3.00€. Family package costs 14.00€. There are different options for the opening ceremony, scheduled for July 3rd at San Paolo Stadium: 15.00€ for a seat in the “Distinti” sector, while children under 18, adults over 65, sports delegations, university students, sports and military associations can enjoy the reduced price ticket, that is 5.00€. Moreover, it is possible to buy Family packages (2 adults + 2 children under 18) for 36.00€. In “Curva A Superiore” sector, the full price ticketd is 5.00€; 3.00€ is the reduced one. Admission for the closing ceremony in Naples on July 14th is free.
